PaeTec
Offers Call Blocking to Customers
PaeTec Communications
has deployed a do-not-call compliance system provided by VeriSign,
the companies said Friday. Financial terms of the implementation
were not disclosed.
PaeTec Communications,
Fairport, NY, an integrated voice and data communications provider,
will offer the call-blocking system to its customers who engage
in outbound telemarketing.
VeriSign's DNC compliance
system uses TeleBlock technology developed by Call Compliance Inc.,
a Glen Cove, NY, DNC compliance provider. The technology prevents
outbound calls to restricted numbers from being connected.
VeriSign, Mountain
View, CA, combined Call Compliance's call-blocking system with its
own network data infrastructure, which holds DNC data and provides
telecommunications carriers with a central source for accessing
state, proprietary and third-party DNC lists.
